MLK Day of Service

Monday, January 21st, 2019 from 9:00am to 12:00pm (CT)

About

We will be there RAIN OR SHINE (barring thunder and lightning).

Every year American YouthWorks' YouthBuild and Texas Conservation Corps programs serve the Austin community on MLK Day by beautifying Austin's historic Burdett Prairie Cemetery. This cemetery is the final resting place of former slaves and emancipated African Americans and their descendants. We will also provide trail maintenance at the adjacent Montopolis Greenbelt. Our day of service honors the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and commemorates our Austin neighbors and their families. Enjoy a morning of giving back to our community. Families and children are welcome!
