About

Arrive at the rear loading dock of Trader Joe's (2805 Bee Caves Rd, Austin, TX 78746) about 10 a.m. -- we'll work until the food is gone. We typically have anywhere from 500 to 2,000 pounds of food in crates on pallets, which will need to be separated into manageable loads for distribution to multiple locations.

The site coordinator will assign volunteers to drop off at various locations that may change from week to week.

TJ management has asked us to arrive at 10 a.m. to give them time to pull and sort food.

Hello! My organization would love to get in on the Trader Joe's love. I spoke to Joseph today, and he said that if we come down and get it ourselves, there should be enough love to go around.

Is there any chance a volunteer would be going near 7910 Gault St (near Anderson Lane and N. Lamar) and would be willing to take on an additional drop off going forward?

Azzurra

Thanks Azzurra, since this forum is relatively new, I'm also going to put the word out to our on-site coordinator for Trader Joe's. All the best for the work you do!

It was amazing to see the amount of surplus food at Trader Joe's!
Didn't take long to load our vehicles and didn't take long to delivery it. Very well organized!

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Ira; it was great talking to him.
